Our portfolio includes atomic force microscopes (AFMs), nanoIR spectrometers, stylus and optical profilometers, ellipsometry and reflectometry systems, in-situ and stand-alone nanomechanical testers, mechanical and tribological testers, and a comprehensive suite of semiconductor research and manufacturing tools.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:For Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Business (BNSM) in GermanySelling a portfolio of our scientific instruments, accessories and upgrades to meet or exceed sales targets for all the Business Units in your sales territory.Sales territory strategic and tactical planning and executionRegular reporting on status and progress to Sales Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop and execute sales growth strategiesOwn a direct sales territory and work with sales applications team and field assistantsProspecting to generate leads, qualifying leads, visiting customers and following a defined sales process up until purchase orderProduct presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as requiredDevelop a strong understanding of competitive and funding landscape within the territoryDevelop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ability to establish collaborations with key customersFeedback to BNSM sales management on the development and execution of sales strategyRegular and accurate sales forecasting via CRMAdditional responsibilities may be assigned at a later time KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Positive “can do” attitude, a highly motivated self-starterRelishes working in a performance-driven environmentResourceful, proactive, meticulousAbility to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently when requiredSolid understanding of surface measurement techniquesCompetent PC skills, particularly with MS office softwareAble to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor''s degree in Physics, Materials Science or Engineering or other Scientific disciplineKnowledge of optical profilometry, Ellipsometry and Reflectometry preferredSales experience in related field desiredAbility to grow and take additional responsibilitiesWORK LOCATION:Germany home based PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Up to 60% travel as required to support the role
