Pay grade 13 TV-L plus IT allowance

The ZAB The Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB), based in Bonn, is the central interface for securing skilled workers in Germany. It assesses educational certificates from abroad and supports other bodies in the assessment and recognition of foreign educational qualifications. The "anabin" information system forms the working basis and knowledge base for the approximately 300 employees of the ZAB as well as for a large number of agencies involved in the recognition of foreign educational certificates in the federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Your future field of work
As a product manager for anabin, you will shape the strategic further development of a central information system for the assessment and recognition of foreign educational qualifications in Germany. You will actively gather feedback from various user groups and stakeholders, derive requirements from this and develop innovative features and improvements in usability and functionality.
You will plan interfaces to other ZAB systems and external applications - using your many years of professional experience in web and application development and your in-depth IT knowledge in a targeted manner. You will be supported by a dedicated team for creative exchange and professional sparring: five colleagues are currently working on the further development of other ZAB digital systems.
The technical implementation is carried out by an external service provider, which you manage in the role of interface to the specialist side. For larger projects, you will take on the role of Product Owner (PO) and manage agile development together with the development partner.
Are you not yet familiar with the PO role, but have several years of experience in managing software projects? Then we will be happy to support you with targeted training.
Your profile
The duty - what you need to bring with you Completed university education at Master's level, preferably in the fields of business informatics, computer science or business administration or equivalent skills and knowledge based on practical professional experience
German language skills at native speaker level
Good knowledge of English
The freestyle - how you can score points Several years of experience in the design and further development of software solutions, ideally in the area of web applications
Practical project experience, ideally project management, e.g. in the further development of software products, the realization of websites, applications and functions
Knowledge of modern web architectures (e.g. 3-tier models, JavaScript-based applications)
Confident handling of XML, data exchange and system interfaces
Experience in modelling and optimizing business processes
Professional experience in setting up and operating databases, knowledge of SQL
Ability to precisely formulate technical concepts and requirements (specifications)
Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and confident appearance in presentations
