SAP Project Manager

Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex SAP programmes across enterprise clients in the UK, Ireland, and Germany. This role requires a senior delivery leader capable of managing large-scale SAP implementations, driving strong governance, and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders in a hybrid client-facing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring programme delivery excellence, establishing robust governance structures, managing risks, and aligning SAP initiatives with broader business transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and transformation strategies.
* Manage complex stakeholder environments, including senior leadership, programme sponsors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
* Establish and maintain strong project governance frameworks, including reporting, escalation management, and steering committee engagement.
* Drive programme planning, budgeting, and resource management across multi-country SAP delivery initiatives.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
* Oversee coordination between functional, technical, and integration workstreams across SAP landscapes.
* Ensure delivery adheres to industry best practices and project management standards .
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting effective programme decision-making and delivery alignment .
* Facilitate collaboration between onshore and offshore teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions.
Required Experience & Skills
* 12–18 years of experience in IT delivery, including significant exposure to SAP programme or project management .
* Proven track record leading large-scale SAP implementations or transformation programmes .
* Strong expertise in programme governance, planning, and risk management .
* Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including executive-level engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams across global locations.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, timelines, and delivery outcomes .
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes .
* Familiarity with Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies .
* Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant project management credentials are advantageous.
