We currently have an excellent opportunity for a RegionalFacilities Manager (m/f/d) to join the Integrated Facilities Management business line in Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Munich, Berlin, Bonn, Cologne or Frankfurt.If you are proactive, resilient, and have a knack for turning challenges into opportunities, we want you on our team.Our region has recently undergone major transitions, including structural changes and a reorganization of facilities management operations. We need someone with a strong aptitude for change leadership who can navigate this evolving landscape with confidence and positivity. This role is crucial in driving stability, fostering team cohesion, and implementing effective processes to ensure the success of our facilities management function. Your tasks:
1. Provide strategic direction and fearless leadership to a team of facilities managers across Germany and support regional teams in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia
2. Develop and implement regional facilities management strategies in line with company objectives
3. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team, nurturing the development of their competencies in facilities management
4. Lead change management initiatives to smoothly transition teams and operations through recent and future changes, addressing gaps with a proactive mindset
5. Oversee the day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
6. Manage the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facilities to ensure optimal functioning and appearance
7. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve facility performance
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding facilities management issues
9. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on facilities operations and strategic initiatives
10. Address and resolve any facilities-related issues or concerns raised by employees or management with a solutions-oriented approach
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
12. Develop, manage, and monitor the regional facilities management budget
13. Ensure cost-effective procurement and contract management with suppliers and service providers
14. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on service quality
15. Lead and coordinate facilities-related projects, including renovations, relocations, and upgrades
16. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards
17. Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers
18. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure value for money and high service standards
19. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance and quality
20. Ensure all facilities comply with local and regional regulations and standards
21. Promote and implement sustainable practices across all facilities to minimize environmental impact
22. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities management
23. Frequent travel across Germany and occasional travel to Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia is required to support regional operations and team members
Your profile:
24. Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
25. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role
26. Proven experience managing facilities across multiple locations, including international operations
27. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
28. Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
29. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost control
30. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
31. Demonstrated ability to implement best practice processes and procedures
32. Proficiency in German and English is required; additional languages relevant to the region are an asset
33. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the assigned regions
