Your area of work:
The Governance & Projects unit at Deutsche Börse AG serves as a central hub for governance-related topics. With a central function perspective, we manage large, cross-divisional projects that are not directly tied to business or IT.
In this role, you’ll gain deep insights into the business and operating model of the entire Deutsche Börse Group at the very forefront. You’ll be part of a high-impact team, contributing to strategically important and demanding initiatives that shape the future of our organization.
Your responsibilities:
1. Lead cross-divisional, non-business, and non-IT projects with full accountability for scope, budget, and timeline
2. Identify, analyze, and manage project risks
3. Track and report project progress to steering committees and senior management
4. Ensure organizational readiness and smooth transitions to line functions
5. Drive strategic initiatives that enhance governance and operational excellence across the Group
6. Own, maintain and further develop the Project Management Policy by integrating evolving industry best practices and lessons learned as well as oversee group wide adherence
7. Lead and develop a group wide Project Management Working Group and contribute to the Deutsche Börse Group Project Management Community
8. Contribute project management expertise to the team to support team-led initiatives
Your profile:
9. 10–15 years of experience in project management, ideally within the financial sector and complex organizational structures
10. Proven experience in regulatory governance topics (e.g., lines of defense, segregation of duties, written rules framework, control systems, legal entity integration)
11. Project portfolio management, governance and controlling skills, with experience in maintaining project management frameworks and ensuring policy adherence across diverse project environments
12. Comfortable to take a leading role in any project, while applying a content driven leadership approach
13. Project Management certification, PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent
14. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English, with experience in engaging with senior stakeholders and ability to transport complex topics clearly and persuasively
15. A diplomatic, yet assertive and results-oriented mindset
16. Passion for building and leading professional communities, with the ability to connect people, share best practices, and drive engagement in project management topics
