About the Venture
We are building a next-generation Identity + AI Cybersecurity platform designed to secure how modern SaaS systems, users, and AI agents interact. Our platform combines identity modeling, real‑time policy enforcement, and AI‑driven risk analysis to help enterprises manage access, trust, and security in an increasingly agent‑driven world.
Having just secured pre‑seed funding, we are now moving into build mode. You will join a technical CEO and early founding team in Berlin to architect, design, and ship the core platform from day one.
About the Role
We are looking for a deeply technical Founding CTO (or even a Founding Engineer) who will take full ownership of the platform architecture and build the first version of the product. This is a hands‑on role where you will spend meaningful time writing production code while defining the long‑term direction for engineering, security, infrastructure, and team growth.
Responsibilities
Own the full technical architecture across identity, AI agent systems, and enforcement
Design and implement identity models, permission graphs, token lifecycle, and SaaS risk flows
Build the agent identity model, sandboxing framework, trust scoring, and behavior engine
Write production‑grade backend code (4–6 hours/day in the early stage)
Lead engineering execution across roadmap planning, sprints, and delivery
Build core services including connectors, policy engine, risk engine, and real‑time enforcement
Partner with the CEO on system design, product direction, and technical strategy
Support enterprise customers with technical deep dives, PoCs, and security validation
Maintain high standards of security, reliability, and architecture
Define and establish the long‑term technology strategy and data infrastructure
Hire, lead, and scale an in‑house engineering team
Manage data privacy, secure storage, and analysis frameworks
Contribute directly to building Europe’s most advanced cybersecurity platform
Requirements
Significant experience in backend engineering and system architecture
Ideally, exposure in technical leadership roles
Experience shipping complex distributed systems
Deep understanding of OAuth/OIDC, identity flows, API keys, tokens, scopes
Knowledge of RBAC/ABAC or fine‑grained access systems
Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and integration security
Experience with AI/LLM systems or ability to learn fast
Strong security mindset and understanding of modern attack surfaces
Experience integrating with SaaS APIs
Ability to move fast and operate independently
Experience with Terraform and cloud deployments
Prior startup experience and strong founder mentality
Nice to Have
Experience with agent orchestration or sandboxing
Experience with event‑driven or streaming systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
Knowledge of policy engines
Experience with token analysis or credential hygiene
Familiarity with cloud IAM (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience with risk scoring or anomaly detection
Understanding of graph databases or unified identity graphs
Prior cybersecurity or identity experience
Product leadership or prior founder experience
