Job Area Interns Group, Interns Group > Interim Intern Company Qualcomm Germany GmbH General Summary 6 month Internship – Modem system test – QCT, Sulzbach, Germany. We have 6-month internship openings as part of Qualcomm’s European Intern Program starting between January and March 2026. You will be working with Modem System Test group. To qualify for one of the openings you must be a student (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with Major in Communication) in the middle or towards the end of your studies looking for an Intern placement as a Mandatory or Voluntary part of your degree for 6 months. You will be working with the team responsible for verifying physical layer and/or protocol requirements for complex digital modem products supporting 5G (NSA/SA)/4G or other advanced cellular technologies. You will execute advanced test methodologies for validating end-to-end system level performance/functionality across the mobile protocol stack (PHY, MAC/RLC/PDCP, RRC, NAS, Data, TCP-IP/UDP, VoLTE/IMS) in stationary and mobility (drive test) conditions across European 4G and 5G mobile networks. Preferred Qualifications Theoretical knowledge in a few of the mentioned topics: LTE, 5G (NSA/SA), OSI model, handovers, TCP / IP protocol, fading, source and channel coding. Exposure to programming in python or shell scripts. High level understanding from Android OS Willingness to travel Can do attitude Able to take ownership for assigned task Good English written and oral expression Education Studying for Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with major in communications technology. Must have the legal right to work in Germany for 6 consecutive months or an internship be a mandatory part of the course completion.
