We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Product Manager to own the full product lifecycle of our core medical SaaS platform. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, prioritizing features, and collaborating with engineering, clinical, and commercial teams to deliver products that meet market needs and regulatory requirements. A significant focus of this role will be integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance clinical workflows, diagnostic support, and operational efficiency.
Tasks
* Product Strategy & Vision: Support management with the long-term vision and strategy for the medical SaaS platform, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market opportunities.
* AI/ML Integration: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities to leverage AI/ML for improving clinical value (e.g., predictive analytics, automated reporting, diagnostic assistance).
* Roadmap Ownership: Develop, maintain, and communicate a clear, data-driven product roadmap, articulating trade-offs and rationale to stakeholders.
* Customer & Market Insight: Conduct continuous market research, competitive analysis, and in-depth user interviews with clinicians, administrators, and patients to identify pain points and validate solutions.
* Requirements Engineering: Writing detailed requirements by including all stakeholders.
* Regulatory Compliance: Partner with Regulatory Affairs to ensure all product features, especially those involving AI/ML, comply with relevant medical device regulations (e.g., CE Mark) and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
* Go-to-Market: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs to develop pricing, positioning, and successful launch strategies.
Requirements
* Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years focused on B2B SaaS products.
* Proven experience in the HealthTech or Medical Device industry, demonstrating an understanding of clinical workflows, hospital systems, and the healthcare ecosystem.
* Strong background working with software engineering teams, including the ability to discuss technical trade-offs and understand complex architectures.
* Demonstrated knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science principles and their application in real-world products.
* Experience or familiarity with the full lifecycle of AI/ML feature development, including data labeling, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
* Understanding of the unique regulatory and ethical challenges associated with AI/ML in a clinical setting (e.g., bias, transparency, explainability).
* Familiarity with device regulatory standards and norms(e.g., MDR, ISO13485, IEC 62304, SaMD).
Additioinal preferred Qualifications:
* Direct experience as a Product Manager in a certified SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) environment.
* A technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering), preferably with an MBE (Master of Business Engineering).
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data visualization tools.
* Communication skills – very good German and fluent English.
* Structured, independent, and analytically thinking personality with a sense of responsibility.
* Willingness to travel.
