Mechanical Engineer supporting assembly, validation, QA, and CE certification of advanced laboratory instrumentation

Liquidloop GmbH develops cutting-edge laboratory instrumentation for electrochemical and mass spectrometry applications. We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the development, assembly, validation, and certification of our systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a start-up environment, combining creativity with precision, and with a strong commitment to quality and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering (focus on assembly, production, testing, or QA)
* Solid knowledge in mechanics, industrial production, hardware validation, and quality assurance
* Hands-on experience with workshop machinery (drill press, milling machine, disk cutter, etc.)
* Familiarity with vacuum systems, pneumatics, and fluidics is a plus
* Experience with certification processes (CE or similar) highly valued
* Strong problem-solving and documentation skills (QA reports, non-conformities, root-cause analysis)
* Creative and curious in developing optimized manufacturing/assembly solutions
* Organized, detail-oriented, and diligent, with a strong sense of responsibility
* Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, motivated to grow in a start-up environment
* Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
* German proficiency: minimum A2 required; B2+ is a strong advantage
