Job Description
Category Strategy:
1. Build up and maintain portfolio strategy in line with the BA needs and define a well balanced portfolio to minimize risk, to ensure flexibility, to get an advantage position on the supplier market.
2. Define, deliver and update a Sourcing List.
3. Identify and onboard new potential suppliers where the need is identified
4. Identify any value improvement activities and steer implementation.
5. To present and align the strategies with BA stakeholders
Commercial:
6. To handle all negotiations at the Category Supplier
7. To negotiate and maintain necessary global contracts
8. To support Advance Purchasing with complex / difficult negotiations
9. Manage suppliers in representation of the BA
Escalation Support:
10. Support Region Purchasing for Quality, Supply and Commercial escalation
11. Trouble shooting: Support the plants as next escalation level in case of supply problems (quality or delivery)
Reporting:
12. Share market situation with stakeholders
13. To report Categories performance in regular base
14. Forecast expected price development
Qualifications
15. Bachelor degree; in exceptional cases an equivalent professional experience
16. At least several years in Purchasing, thereof a few years in automotive
17. Strong Purchasing Portfolio Handling (Strategy, Supplier List, Market Know How, Portfolio Analyse, Forecast) & Contractualization
18. Negotiation experience : RFQ, Offer analyse and comparison, Negotiation
19. Risk Management Claim, Finance, Legal
20. Ability to work whitin a remote team
21. Project Management experience is a plus
22. Functional or project leadership experience is a plus
23. Several years exposure to international business
24. Experience of living abroad is a plus
25. Fluent English and good German language skills is a plus (written and spoken)
26. Business trip to be expected (up to 30% of working time max)
