Senior Expert Industrial Engineering - Automation & Process Optimization (m/f/d)

Area of responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute forward-thinking automation concepts tailored to complex product families in child mobility and furniture
2. Ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets, delivering high-impact results in dynamic production environments
3. Lead end-to-end automation projects: ROI analysis, benefit evaluation, validation, testing, and implementation at supplier sites
4. Design and optimize control systems and automated processes to minimize costs and prevent production bottlenecks
5. Create comprehensive material and equipment lists, perform cost analysis, and support production budgeting
6. Establish monitoring systems to track productivity and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
7. Provide strategic guidance on manufacturing technology, acting as a key advisor for innovation and continuous improvement
8. Champion modern production principles such as KVP, 5S, Industry 4.0, and support process standardization and harmonization
9. Support project planning and commissioning activities directly on-site at supplier facilities
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company’s broader production strategy
Profile of qualification:
11. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field
12. 8– years of experience in industrial/production environments with a focus on process engineering and automation
13. Proven knowledge of automation technologies, production systems, and continuous improvement frameworks
14. Experience with P-FMEA, REFA, Six Sigma, and digital manufacturing concepts (Industry 4.0)
15. Familiarity with mechatronics, simulation software, and metal processing technologies is a strong advantage
16. Proficient in CAD tools (ProE Creo or comparable) and confident in using MS Office (Excel, Teams, Office Suite)
17. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
18. Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus
19. Willingness to travel internationally as part of project and supplier engagement
