Project Manager - Bioassays Location: Homburg, Germany (Full-time, Onsite) Languages: Fluent English (German not required) Compensation: Depending on experience Eligibility: Already based in Germany with valid working rights (no Visa sponsorship) I am working with a longstanding client, they are an international analytical testing organisation is that are expanding their project management team in Germany. This role offers hands on ownership of regulated analytical programs supporting the development, release, and lifecycle management of innovative biopharmaceutical products. You will coordinate complex bioassay projects (e.g., cell-based potency assays, ELISA, binding and functional assays) in close collaboration with expert scientific teams, ensuring high data quality, compliance, and on-time execution. Ideal for professionals early in their project management career ( 2–4 years experience ) or scientists experienced in regulated testing environments who are ready to step into full client program ownership. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary client contact for bioassay related projects, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate method development, optimization, qualification/validation, release, and stability studies. Maintain project plans including scope, resources, risks, and documentation. Partner closely with laboratory, QA, and operational teams to ensure testing delivery under GMP/GLP/GxP. Monitor risks/deviations and drive corrective actions when required. Safeguard data integrity and regulatory compliance across project lifecycle. Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for internal and client review. Support onboarding of new methods and technical transfers into the testing network. Contribute to workflow efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an individual contributor role (no direct line management at this stage). About You MSc/PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences or a proven analytical background (food/agriculture testing welcome where assays are transferable). 2–4 years project management experience in biopharma or regulated analytical services. Clear understanding of bioassay principles and regulatory expectations. Strong organisation and multitasking skills: able to run multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Fluent English: German not required. Able to work onsite daily in Homburg, Germany. Advantageous Experience within a contract testing or analytical services provider. PMP/PRINCE2 certification or equivalent. Experience evaluating bioassay data and potency models.
