Within a team of 8 people based across Europe (Czech Republic, France, Italy, Great Britain, Poland) and reporting to the Head of Sales Europe, Silage, our future Sales Manager - Silage Germany and Austria (W/M) will be responsible for commercial policy application and company’s turnover development. Role and responsibility: Grow distribution network in assigned territory for Novonesis silage inoculant range Develop sales and account plans, and manage sales expectations in the area of responsibility Deliver product concepts in the market in order to grow sales & market share and improve profitability for Novonesis Identify opportunities for customer experience trials, and marketing initiatives to support product positioning and sales Manage unexpected performance cases (UPCs), in conjunction with TS team Provide local technical support, in conjunction with relevant technical support teams, related to product performance, with key accounts and distributors Increase direct interaction to larger end-user customers & distribution network’s sales channels Prepare monthly report on activities & outlook for direct manager Main tasks: Lead and ensure excellent relationships with distributors and co-ops/sub-distributors in the territory Identify opportunities for marketing trials and marketing activities required to support this positioning Develop localized launch plans and supporting materials, together with Head of Sales, local TS and Regional Marketing Manager Manage sales expectations and report on sales progression of the product range Prepare business cases to extend country presence with new distributors Collaborate with ‘umbrella’ distributor and sales management to secure optimal execution of strategies Identify opportunities to develop and grow distribution network at all levels Manage pricing in the territory to protect Novonesis Margins, and maintain a competitive pricing structure to the market Conduct seminars and training of distributors and customers Support local distribution partners at events, exhibitions, conferences, internal sales meetings etc. Provide feedback on market trends and development of competitive inoculant products and applications Facilitate product & concept training to co-op network Provide a regularly updated, 12 month rolling sales forecast Build a solid sales and project pipeline through frequent customer meetings Other tasks: Work closely together with Sales, TS and marketing functions Work closely with the financial team to manage accounts receivables and where/when needed, intervene directly with customers´ accounts payable department and management Connect with counterpart colleagues in other regions to share best practices To succeed you must hold: A degree in agriculture, biology, veterinary sciences, or a related field. Evidenced knowledge in ruminant nutrition, health and production systems. Minimum 5-years related sales experience, with a proven record in silage inoculants, ruminant nutrition, feed, or feed additives. Excellent communication skills in English and German; both oral and in writing. Focus on delivering results and meeting customer´s expectations. Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset and strong sales priorities. Experience in collaborating with diverse cultures. Commercial & technical support by frequent customer visits.
