IVTECH develops innovative sensors and solutions for the smart grid, enabling reliable, efficient and sustainable energy management.
We are seeking a commercially minded and technically proficient Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our Smart Grid Power Sensor portfolio. This role combines market insight, product strategy, requirements definition, and cross-functional leadership to deliver differentiated sensors that meet customer needs, comply with grid standards, and accelerate revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Smart Grid Sensors.
* Gather and prioritize customer and market requirements from utilities, system integrators, OEMs, and partners; translate into clear product specifications.
* Own the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including business case, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market plans.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure feasible, high-quality, and timely releases.
* Define quantifiable success metrics (revenue, market share, NPS, reliability, field performance) and monitor ongoing performance.
* Manage stakeholder communications and support sales with technical briefings and demonstrations.
* Conduct competitive analysis and identify differentiation opportunities.
* Plan and oversee product launches, pilots, and customer trials; collect feedback to iteratively improve the product.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree, MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
* 5+ years of product management or product engineering experience in smart grid, electrical sensors, energy metering, or grid communications.
* Solid understanding of power systems, sensors (voltage/current), power quality, and grid communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870-5, MQTT, etc.).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; proven ability to define requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Customer-focused mindset with experience with industrial customers.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
* Fluent in German and English mandatory, French and Mandarin welcome
