We are currently seeking a Sales Manager – Large Bore Engines for our Tenneco site in Burscheid. Fluency in both English and German is required.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a business development plan for assigned customers
* Translate market strategy into customer-specific objectives and strategies, and take responsibility for successful implementation in collaboration with the European sales team
* Build, maintain, and strengthen sustainable customer relationships through regular on-site communication and effective contract negotiations
* Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate internal and external customer satisfaction in relation to sales activities and responsibilities
* Prepare sales plans and forecasts to support overall business objectives
* Regularly compare target vs. actual figures for sales revenue, volume, pricing, margins, and market share for assigned customers
* Conduct competitive analyses to assess market positioning and adjust sales strategies accordingly
* Oversee and coordinate the entire project lifecycle for assigned customers in close cooperation with relevant internal departments (Application Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production, Purchasing)
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Sales)
* Several years of experience in sales, preferably within a similar industry
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Experience with sales software and tools
* Knowledge of marketing and customer relationship management
* Certifications such as CPSA or CSM are a plus
* Fluency in both German and English is required
* Additional language skills are an advantage
