Our client is seeking a motivated and strategic leader to oversee the production of viral vaccines, ensuring smooth operations, compliance and process optimisation .

Your objectives:
As the Head of Production – Viral Vaccines, you will be measured against the following objectives:
1. Ensure efficient and compliant production of viral vaccines in alignment with GMP standards.
2. Drive continuous process optimisation and strategic production planning.
3. Develop, motivate and lead a cross-functional team to achieve operational excellence.
What you will do:
As the Head of Production – Viral Vaccines, your duties and responsibilities will include:
· Lead and manage a team of approximately 30 employees across USP, DSP, Central Services, and Environmental Monitoring.
· Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Technical Services & Manufacturing Science (TSMS), and Quality functions.
· Implement and maintain standardised production processes and GMP-compliant systems.
· Develop strategies for production capacity planning and resource allocation.
· Drive process improvements and cost efficiencies.
· Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
What you will bring:
These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Head of Production – Viral Vaccines :
· Degree in biology, biotechnology, process engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
· Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a production environment; ideally 5+ years.
· Proven success managing teams within GMP or FDA-regulated settings.
· Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
· Fluent in German with very good English skills.
· High motivation, flexibility and a structured, results-oriented work style.
