Area of responsibility We are the joint data center of the German Pension Insurance (DRV) in Berlin and Würzburg. We are committed to the secure and high-performance operation of the infrastructure, compliance with the relevant legal standards, cost predictability, cost-effectiveness, and IT consulting. Our data center (RZ-DRV) is the nationwide service provider for the IT infrastructure of the DRV and supports its customers with customized IT solutions in the field of operating system and database infrastructure, from consulting to IT operations.
Our Server Transition team is responsible for providing the virtualization infrastructure and the automation platform for the installation and operation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Your tasks Automation You will create a technical design based on comprehensive requirements for the automation of services in the data center.
You will develop and configure data center services in the Aria Suite and ensure their quality.
Further development of the virtualization platform based on comprehensive requirements: technical design, automation with Ansible, and testing in our own lab.
You will create and maintain roles in the OS context with Ansible.
You document the results and communicate them to the operations teams.
In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from neighboring teams and in cross-functional IT projects.
You perform error analyses and take care of troubleshooting as part of 2nd & 3rd level support.
You implement IT security measures in accordance with BSI specifications and monitor compliance.
We use the following products and tools, among others:
Aria Suite, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), BMC Helix, GitLab, and scripting languages such as Python, Power Shell, and Bash. Due to the cross-location nature of the role, occasional business trips (2 to 5 times a year) between Berlin and Würzburg are required. Your profile You have a university degree (bachelor's/diploma/FH) in IT, or a similar qualification, or a vocational training qualification in IT combined with many years of relevant professional experience, or comparable long-term professional experience in IT.
You already have additional current professional experience in the described area of responsibility.
You know the processes and technical relationships in a data center inside out.
You have very good knowledge and experience in professional software development and have high quality standards for your work.
Ideally, you are also familiar with ITIL working methods
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner - and always keep an eye on service quality
Your German language skills correspond to language level B2; we are happy to support you in expanding your language skills in the future
You are a true team player and enjoy proactively contributing to project work.
You are willing to participate in occasional on-call duties, as well as occasional business trips, as described in the job description.
