We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in the development of alternative navigation systems for maritime applications. As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions that complement global satellite navigation systems and ensure safe navigation under disrupted conditions.
In this position, you will work closely with our team to develop the R-Mode navigation system and the corresponding receiver technology. You will also analyze the performance of combined satellite and terrestrial-based navigation systems and select, develop, implement, and validate algorithms for data fusion from these systems.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing, conducting, evaluating, and documenting field measurement campaigns. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or geodesy and is experienced in working with software-defined radio (SDR) in Python and C++ programming languages.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess good communication skills. Additionally, they should be willing to conduct business trips and have proficiency in both German and English languages.
