Role Overview
On behalf of Elos Medtech, we are recruiting a Production Manager with deep expertise in CNC machining—especially milling and turning—to oversee the daily operations of one of Europe's most advanced CNC facilities. Reporting directly to the Site Managing Director, this role holds full operational responsibility for driving productivity, precision, and performance in a multi-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of CNC manufacturing in a complex, multi-shift operation:
* Lead all CNC manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on milling and turning processes, ensuring optimal utilization of more than 220 machines.
* Ensure reliable, high-quality, and efficient production processes.
* Monitor and improve machine availability, capacity utilization, and overall efficiency.
* Manage and develop a team of around 250 employees, including supervisors and team leads.
* Strengthen collaboration with the supply chain, production planning, and logistics teams.
* Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs (CIP).
* Analyze KPIs such as OEE, scrap rates, and changeover times to inform strategic decisions.
* Contribute to cross-site initiatives within the wider Elos Medtech Group.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong mix of CNC-focused production knowledge, technical expertise and leadership ability:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Several years of experience managing CNC manufacturing operations, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., medtech, aerospace, automotive).
* Deep understanding of machining processes, production planning, and lean methods.
* Strong leadership skills, team development experience, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
* Fluent in German and comfortable communicating in English within an international group.
