Global Account Manager – TRATON Group & Daimler Truck
TRATON GROUP with its associated brands Scania and MAN and DAIMLER TRUCK, are among the ones world’s leading manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks., buses and commercial van.
The Global Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's relationships with its most important customers on a global scale. This role involves developing and executing strategic account plans, ensuring client satisfaction, and accelerating revenue growth.
As our Global Account Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for global clients and represent customer needs and expectations inside the company by coordinating the internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. This position entails a prestigious KAM responsibility, requiring significant visibility and focus from both the organization and the customer. In addition to this, it is an exciting time to join our global sales team within Automotive, as we are reshaping the future of SKF Automotives' strategic customer base, where you will play a key role.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage one of our global key accounts that span multiple regions or countries and across various business lines, each varying in size and complexity.
* Be accountable for enhancing profitable growth, pricing, and cost management, and contribute to scorecard targets.
* Craft and execute customer strategies, roadmaps, and manage relationships at all levels.
* Take a broader strategic approach, looking beyond individual transactions to develop long-term relationships and partnerships with global clients.
* Collaborate closely with other sales teams, manufacturing units, product development, and support functions, often working with teams in different regions or countries, including local account managers.
* Manage, lead, and develop a small team of local Key Account Managers.
* Facilitate and manage the negotiations for contracts and/or global programs.
* Implement and communicate the pricing strategy across countries where the account is present.
* Identify opportunities for growth within the existing account.
* Provide regular updates to senior management on account performance.
* Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to provide insights and recommendations.
* Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams – be the customer ambassador internally.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Master of Sc. Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
* Solid experience in a commercial business-driven role on a regional- or global scale; within account management, purchasing, business development or similar.
* Proficient project management skills and the ability to manage customer initiatives on a global scale.
* Demonstrated ability to understand market needs, leading to the right SKF positioning, considering competitive advantages, value proposition, and making appropriate commercial decisions.
* Ability to communicate proficiently in English and work collaboratively across multiple departments and disciplines.
* Automotive experience is a plus
