Description To support our Mechanical Engineering (ME) team in Hamburg, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join us at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will work in the field of mechanical design of lasers and their assemblies. Together with experienced engineers and technicians, you will develop reliable and cost‑efficient solutions to ensure the high quality of our products. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Creation and detailed development of 3D CAD models and technical drawings Design and development of components and assemblies Preparation of detail, manufacturing, and assembly drawings Maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation Programming and maintenance of variant configurations in SFDC Implementation of modular systems and product architectures Consideration of standards, guidelines, and manufacturing requirements Close collaboration with internal and external departments, particularly assembly, quality assurance, and manufacturing Execution of design changes and optimizations of existing constructions Support in the implementation and monitoring of environmental regulations and compliance processes YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Completed training as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or a comparable qualification Confident handling of common CAD systems (preferably Solid Edge) Sound knowledge in creating standards‑compliant technical drawings and working with bills of materials Experience with variant configuration Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and technical interrelationships Initial experience with environmental compliance (e.g. REACH, RoHS) is an advantage Structured, meticulous, and self‑reliant working style Team player with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration Good communication skills in German and English OUR OFFER Responsible and challenging tasks in an exciting working environment Flexible working hours and a pleasant company culture Company share benefit program Opportunity for mobile working Easy access by car and free parking JobRad – bicycle leasing program Coffee, fruit, and water provided
