Job Requirements:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Manager to join our team in Fulda. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth production processes while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
Job description:
Plans, organizes, and directs, through shiftleaders, production operations in different production areas, such as carding, needling, finishing, and recycling.
Integrates production operation or processes, or related processes over multiple shifts. Establishes short-term activities directed toward production continuity and balance, such as creating shift schedules, ensuring requisition of materials, machine loading, grievance resolution, and equipment maintenance. Coordinates and integrates with other plant function areas to ensure support in attaining output, productivity, and quality. Selects, organizes, trains, and motivates the production labor force to ensure consistent attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels. Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe working environment including following and enforcing the safety absolutes
• Manage three shift system five days a week Operations, including working flexible hours as needed.
• Manage the training program for all production employees
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Purchase to process orders and meet promise dates
• Maintenance and expansion of skills tree matric
• Implementation of upgraded training program.
• Coordinate with Quality Inspection / Department on documented feedback for all Out of Spec or high defect products
• Document quality performance, production output, efficiency, downtime, OEE and adherence to promise dates
• Schedule manning to meet production output requirements
• Handle all operations management responsibilities including Interviews, Attendance Records, Documented Conversations, HR Conversations, Disciplinary Actions, New Hire Orientation, Training Records
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of relevant experience as it relates to manufacturing, process, inspection, and quality control.
• Progressive management experience in manufacturing roles.
• Manager / supervisor experience. Preferred with non-woven manufacturing.
• Excellent Computer skills – Microsoft Office and ERP Systems, especially MS Navision
• Ability to apply skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks.
• Ability to document information, present information, create charts and trend performance.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
