Job Description:
* Leading, steering and developing the department for urban infrastructure.
* Taking overall responsibility for significant municipal construction projects and concepts regarding urban development, traffic and environment.
* Motivating the approximately 65 employees.
* Trustful collaboration with other departments and administrative units, political committees and internal and external interfaces.
* Budget planning and cost control.
* Accountability for projects towards political committees and the administration.
* Representing the client in building matters.
Requirements:
* Completed studies preferably in civil engineering or a comparable qualification from the field of engineering sciences.
* Several years of professional experience in the described field of work, preferably with project management and -steering, especially in public administration.
* Outstanding leadership skills and ideally relevant experience in leading positions, as well as high sense of responsibility, initiative and inter-disciplinary work.
* Relevant knowledge in procurement law and contract law (HOAI, VOB, VgV etc.) and technical guidelines.
* High motivation, goal- and solution-oriented working style.
* Analytical and economic thinking as well as creative and structured work.
