PROJECT MANAGER
Primary Role:
Senior Owner’s Engineer representative, main client interface, responsible for stakeholder management, connection‑agreement handling, commercial/technical alignment, and ensuring cross‑site consistency.
A. Core Responsibilities
1. Client & Stakeholder Leadership
* Acts as main point of contact for (Company), (TSO), (DSO), EPC Contractor, BESS Supplier, and all senior stakeholders.
* Represents OE in all high‑level coordination meetings, escalation forums, and strategic decision reviews.
2. Connection Agreement
The PM must be able to lead and support client during all negotiations, clarifications, and technical‑commercial alignment related to the grid connection. This includes:
* Supporting the Company in negotiations with Grid Operator as explicitly required
* Reviewing and interpreting grid connection requirements, technical conditions, and compliance obligations.
* Coordinating technical input for:
* Grid compliance studies,
* Interlocking & SCADA interface obligations,
* Protection & control philosophies,
* Metering, communication, and signaling requirements.
* Supporting “change condition” discussions and understanding impacts on schedule, scope, and contractual obligations.
* Ensuring alignment between EPC designs and TSO/DSO requirements for all five sites.
* Leading clarifications and approval pathways between technical department, and EPC.
* Ensuring all obligations that the Company must fulfill (e.g., documentation, tests, verification steps) are delivered on time.
This requires a PM with:
* Deep technical understanding of HV/MV systems & grid code requirements
* Experience working directly with TSOs/DSOs
* Strong contractual communication capability
* Ability to defend/clarify engineering positions
3. Governance & High-Level Project Management
* Owns overall OE delivery across all five simultaneous sites.
* Chairs/approves decisions on: schedule recovery plans, risks, major NCR escalations, and commissioning readiness.
* Oversees multi‑site harmonization of engineering, supervision, and commissioning strategies.
4. Commercial & Change Management Oversight
* Oversees variation/claim strategy (with the Contract Manager).
* Approves OE stance on major claims/changes before submission to client.
B. Required Experience & Skills
* 10+ years in utility energy infrastructure; 5 years as PM on EPC/OE projects.
* Proven leadership on grid‑connected HV/BESS/substation or TSO‑interface projects.
* Strong German/English communication (RFP requires bilingual meeting & MoM attendance).
* Ability to navigate complex multi‑stakeholder technical and contractual discussions.
