The role of Assistant Sales Manager - Groups is responsible for driving revenue streams across their markets by ensuring the agreed sales plans are implemented in accordance with industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Is responsible for delivering revenue performance against business plan projections (including occupancy, average rate, rooms revenue, RevPAR, and market share performance as well as average check, number of covers and banqueting & event revenue.
* Executes the hotel’s commercial strategy that delivers the annual goals of their specific market segments.
* Acquires new accounts and develops and penetrates further existing account in their dedicated market segments to drive business to the hotel.
* Builds and strengthens relationships with key bookers and decision makers of their accounts.
* Solidify business relationships by signing contracts with key accounts of their markets in accordance with the rules and procedures of the relevant market segment.
* Assists the Director of Sales to foster close long-term relationship with key accounts and introduces the Managing Director to key players within key organizations.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Minimum two years’ experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality is preferred.
* Fluency in German or English is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage.
* Proven experience in leading and managing a team effectively.
* Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up abilities.
