Counterbalance Forklift Driver - Coburg North
Hourly Rate: $35 + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Type: Ongoing with Temp-to-Perm Opportunity (after 3 months)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy recycling facility in Coburg North. This role involves working with a range of commingled recyclables, including plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, and metals (aluminium and steel).
You'll spend approximately 80% of your time operating a counterbalance forklift and 20% performing manual handling tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and wants long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely and efficiently operate counterbalance forklifts.
* Load and unload trucks.
* Move recycling bales and stock around the warehouse and onto trucks.
* Perform manual handling tasks (lifting up to 20 kg).
* Maintain a clean and organised work area and follow all safety protocols.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 6 months forklift driving experience.
* Valid forklift license.
* Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg.
* Ability to work under limited supervision.
