Overview We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Bioprocess Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing activities in a fermentation-based production environment. The role involves executing production processes, handling large-scale equipment, maintaining aseptic operations, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Your Role Perform day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing operations Execute fermentation-based production processes to achieve defined output and product quality targets Support production planning and scheduling, align with the team, and execute plans to maintain continuous process flow Operate and monitor production-scale fermentation equipment and associated downstream units Perform and support CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) operations according to defined procedures Maintain aseptic working conditions during inoculation, fermentation, sampling, and material handling Prepare and maintain production and quality documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and logbooks Identify, analyze, and report process deviations, and contribute to improvement actions Assist in the creation, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to production operations and equipment handling Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management standards Maintain inventory control for raw materials, consumables, intermediates, and finished products, including inbound and outbound material tracking Follow safety guidelines, GMP-like practices, and housekeeping standards within the production area Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient production performance. Your Profile Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant industrial experience is acceptable 2–5 years of hands-on experience in fermentation or bioprocess production environment preferred Experience in handling production-scale equipment and industrial fermentation systems is desirable Experience in operating large-scale brewing equipment will be considered an added advantage Familiarity with CIP/SIP systems, aseptic operations, and production documentation practices is an advantage Good understanding of bacterial fermentation processes and production workflows Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute production schedules efficiently Strong awareness of quality, safety, and environmental compliance requirements Basic troubleshooting and continuous improvement mindset Good documentation and reporting skills Team-oriented, reliable, and shift-flexible working approach About us BIOWEG is a purpose-driven company developing bio-based alternatives to fossil-based ingredients using Biotech and Green Chemistry.
