Key responsibilities
As a Sales Manager, you will drive the sales performance of Electrical Installation Products & Systems for the Electrical Wholesalers and Installers on the market in Germany specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy. Reporting to the Head of Sales you will lead and coach the local sales organization to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Achievement of quantitative and qualitative Sales goals, Elaboration and control of the personal goals of the sales specialist, Establish and expand personal contacts with selected customers
* Retain and develop existing customers, Focus new customers on the brands of ABB
* Result-oriented conducting of condition and annual interviews at the wholesaler, Condition classification of the wholesaler in coordination with the sales management, Special agreements with customers.
* Identifying new business opportunities and creating clear strategies to convert them
* Ensure the development of the regional strategy for each sales people and its implementation
* Coordinating the information flow around sales activities, and providing forecasts and market intelligence to marketing and sales
* Establishing strong customer relationships and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale
* Alignment of employees with target group acquisition, Compliance with and application of the principles of employee management, Promotion of the permanent improvement of the sales specialists (coaching), Organization of regional trade fairs and events, factory visits and regional sales meetings
Qualifications for the role
* Experience of business development, account management and cross-selling, clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms
* Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude
* Electric master with commercial knowledge, business economist with technical knowledge or comparable knowledge through many years of professional experience at least 5 years of field sales experience or comparable activity, Leadership experiences
* Business administration skills, knowledge about the special financial topics of the market (wholesaler, installer)
