🚀 Product Manager (B2B SaaS / AI) – ChefsList
Location: Germany (remote possible)
Type: Full-time
🚀 About ChefsList
ChefsList is building the operating layer for the B2B food supply chain — a market where millions of orders are still processed manually every day.
Most of this industry still runs on phone calls, PDFs, emails, and manual processes.
This is a large, complex industry with massive untapped potential — and still largely underserved by modern software.
We help food wholesalers digitize and automate their entire customer business — from orders to invoices to payments.
* Used daily in real operations by thousands of restaurants
* Trusted by leading food wholesalers in Germany
* Among the most widely used platforms in this space
From day one, we have built our product closely with wholesalers — deeply integrated into their workflows and systems.
We are at an inflection point — strong traction, expanding product scope, and the need to scale product thinking beyond the founders.
AI is a core part of our product — not as a feature, but as a fundamental shift in how workflows are built.
We believe this space offers one of the most underexplored opportunities for applied AI, in a domain that is still largely manual and fragmented.
💥 The Role
This role sits at the core of our product and directly influences how thousands of businesses operate daily.
This is one of the first dedicated product roles at ChefsList.
You will help define how product is built, how decisions are made, and what we prioritize as we scale.
This is not a typical PM role. You will not inherit a clean setup — you will help build it.
Our product setup is still evolving — some things work well, others clearly don’t yet.
You will work directly with the CEO, who currently leads product, and take ownership of key product areas.
A key starting point will be improving how new customers get from signup to their first successful order.
While your initial focus will be on improving core product flows (signup → first order → retention), this role is not limited to growth topics — you will help shape the overall product direction.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership quickly, structures problems well, and drives them to shipped solutions.
You are expected to think beyond execution — to set direction, make trade-offs, and challenge existing approaches (including those of the CEO).
This role is not for someone who needs a lot of structure — it’s for someone who creates it.
Success in this role means measurably improving how customers adopt and repeatedly use our product.
⚡ What you’ll do
* Own and improve key product flows by identifying bottlenecks and turning them into shipped solutions
* Work closely with engineering to turn ideas into shipped product — fast
* Talk to users (restaurants & wholesalers) and deeply understand their workflows
* Define and own success metrics (conversion, activation, usage)
* Bring structure into a fast-moving environment with a lot of untapped potential
* Rethink workflows from first principles and identify where AI fundamentally changes them — not as an add-on, but as a new way to build product
🧠 What we’re looking for
* Experience in Product Management or equivalent ownership in building and shipping products
* Strong execution mindset — you don’t wait, you act
* You can go from problem → solution → shipped feature independently
* You understand business impact (revenue, retention, efficiency)
* Comfortable working with data, but also talking to users
* You combine strong execution with the ability to think in systems and product direction
* Experience in B2B SaaS is a big plus
* Experience with AI-driven products is a plus
* German is a strong plus
🧬 What makes you a great fit
* You enjoy messy situations and take responsibility for bringing structure
* You care about outcomes, not just features
* You move fast and take ownership
* You’re not afraid to challenge ideas (including the CEO)
🤝 What you get
* Work directly with the CEO on product
* Real ownership from day one — you will not manage a backlog, you will shape what gets built and why
* Work on real, messy problems with direct impact on revenue, operations, and how businesses run day to day
* You will see the impact of your work directly in how customers use and rely on the product — every day, in real operations
* A product with strong traction and clear market demand
* The opportunity to grow into a leading product role as we scale
