In this role, you will own and grow a portfolio of automotive customers in the EMEA region, with clear accountability for profitable revenue growth, customer development, and commercial execution. You will manage the full commercial lifecycle - from identifying new opportunities to negotiating contracts and expanding existing business - while building strong customer relationships across multiple levels within a highly dynamic and international environment.
Your main tasks:
2. Own and grow a portfolio of automotive customers with clear accountability for revenue, profitability, and long-term business development
3. Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to quotation, negotiation, and contract closure
4. Manage and expand existing series business, including pricing, change management, and customer-specific commercial topics
5. Drive new business development by identifying, evaluating, and converting growth opportunities, including expansion of the existing product portfolio & active involvement in customer-specific new product development
6. Develop and execute account strategies that strengthen customer relationships, increase market penetration, and support delivery of sales and profitability targets
7. Take active ownership of pricing and commercial conditions in the existing business, with a strong focus on margin improvement and financial value creation
8. Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams to manage contracts, claims, and customer-related business topics effectively
Your ideal profile:
You bring several years of experience in automotive account management or B2B sales, a strong commercial and analytical skill set, and a track record in negotiation, pricing, and customer development. You are comfortable operating in an international environment, working across management levels, and driving results with ownership and discipline.
Your Profile: must-have
9. University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
10. Several years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the automotive or industrial B2B environment
11. Proven strength in contract negotiation, and the financial evaluation of products, projects, or business cases
12. Strong commercial mindset combined with analytical capability, structured thinking, and a solution-oriented approach
13. Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer relationships, communicate effectively across all management levels, and influence stakeholders to drive timely, effective solutions
14. Experience working in an international environment with global customers and cross-functional internal teams
15. Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written, at negotiation level (C1 Level)
16. Willingness to travel regularly for business
17. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for customer results and commercial performance
18. Confident negotiator with the ability to balance growth, profitability, and long-term customer relationships
19. Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced and demanding business environment
20. Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across functions, cultures, and organizational levels
21. Clear, credible communicator who can combine strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
Your Profile: nice-to-have
22. Experience in managing existing series production business in the automotive industry
23. Familiarity with SAP and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel for commercial analysis and business case preparation
24. Experience supporting customer-specific product development or introducing new products and solutions to customers
25. Exposure to digital or AI-supported tools that improve efficiency, analysis, and commercial execution
