About the area
For the "Data Analysis and Fusion" department, we are looking for a "Product Owner for Machine Learning in Image Processing (m/f/d)" to join our branch office in Aalen as soon as possible.
To ensure the best possible protection for people and equipment, current development trends are moving towards continuously increasing the number and type of sensors to capture as much information as possible. Since human ability to interpret this data is not increasing at the same rate, intelligent algorithms are needed to analyze and correlate this sensor data. This creates a comprehensive overview of the situation, relieving the operator of some of the burden while simultaneously providing optimal protection. Your role as Product Owner will involve managing the development, research, and advancement of AI-based image analysis algorithms to offer our users greater clarity and enhanced safety.
Your tasks
* Idea generator and contact person for the topics of machine/deep learning and image processing
* Responsibility for the development and implementation of the product strategy for AI products
* Identification of customer needs and requirements in the field of image processing AI
* Collaboration with the development team to guide product development and ensure that the products meet requirements.
* Responsibility for the AI product roadmap and the prioritization of features
* Monitoring product performance and analyzing data to suggest improvements
* Evaluation of the latest technologies in close collaboration with internal experts, the research/technology department and external research institutes.
* Assisting in the preparation of quantity frameworks as well as budget planning and monitoring.
* Collaboration with external development partners and coordination of reviews, as well as building and maintaining networks with universities and institutes.
* Support for internal reviews within development processes
* Publication of research results at international conferences
Your profile
* Completed studies in computer science, natural sciences, aerospace engineering or a comparable field, preferably with a doctorate
* Several years of professional experience in the development of image processing algorithms
* Relevant experience in research-oriented AI development or as a Product Owner
* Several years of experience in dealing with internal customers/stakeholders and external partners/cooperation partners
* In-depth knowledge of machine/deep learning techniques and traditional image processing
* Good communication and presentation skills, a convincing demeanor, and a willingness to take on responsibility.
* Team player with strong social skills and enthusiasm
* Knowledge of agile methods and processes
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, understandable messages
* Fluent German and English skills
