Our department, Europe IPC : International Procurement Centre is responsible for sourcing and purchasing components and materials for our products (Smartphone, TV, Home appliances, etc.) from suppliers headquartered in the EMEA region.
Our activities lead to new functionalities, design, quality and price competitiveness of our products.
We are looking for an individual who has an interest in supply chain management to begin their career journey in the procurement sector of the consumer electronics industry.

Role and Responsibilities
1. Prepare and issue RFQ & PO to suppliers in accordance with departmental and company operating procedures & policy
2. Review supplier’s quotation and make Sales Offer for internal customers (HQ procurement team)
3. Maintain and update purchasing data (eg. invoice/billing/master) on system with accuracy
4. Maintain and develop robust relationships with external suppliers/forwarders, ensuring that they meet our requirements in all procurement aspects
5. Responsible for the day to day running of procurement activities (delivery/quality/price, etc.)
6. Represent internal customers in negotiating price as well as purchasing contract with suppliers
7. Support seamless customs clearance processes by preparing required documents in advance (eg. Invoice/BL/COO/FTA)
8. Pre-emptively manage supply risk by establishing alternative logistics routes and countermeasures in collaboration with suppliers/forwarders
9. Effectively monitor and manage SCM related KPIs, such as on-time delivery, RTP, and RFQ
10. Chase and resolve overdue AR collections by investigating root causes and customer payment plans in collaboration with Finance team
11. Troubleshoot supply issues by on-site supplier visits, un-/accompanied by HQ counterparts
12. Research and gather intelligence on the market, competitors, technology, logistics, finance, policy trends and movements that may affect Samsung’s activities
13. Analyze and create reports weekly in reader-centric manner and deliver intelligence to Samsung’s leadership in HQ (President, EVP, VP, Management)
14. Contribute to delivering key intelligence with critical timing to Europe IPC peers to provide purchasing and negotiation leverage during business review meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
15. Degree in Business or STEM discipline from a reputable university (Technical background), abundant internship experience but limited to 1 year of career experience preferred
16. Write and speak Korean and English at a high level of professional fluency, able to persuade and influence HQ/suppliers with excellent communication skills
17. Organizational and Tech savvy, commercially astute, up to date with latest consumer electronics market trends and product releases, solid understanding of technical concepts and functions
18. Experienced in ERP system and proficient in MS Office; advanced in Excel and PowerPoint, able to data crawl and create reader-centric reports and presentations
19. Energetic outgoing team player with a forward-thinking, self-initiating attitude, able to comfortably make cold calls, approach strangers, striving for challenges and self-development
20. German/EU work visa and driving license holder, accustomed to European business culture market and local customs, able to travel frequently and navigate within Europe and Korea.
