Project Manager – HV Substation (Freelance) Daily Rate – Competitive Location – Germany (Hybrid) Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 12 Month About the project My client is looking for talented Project Manager to join a large-scale HV substation project in Germany. This is a great opportunity to work for one of the leading energy companies in the industry as a freelancer. About the role Some of your key responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely delivery of all phases of construction, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to align project timelines and deliverables. Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, track costs, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor and control expenditures to avoid cost overruns while ensuring high-quality work and compliance with safety standards. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and subcontractors. Provide regular progress reports, addressing any issues, risks, or changes to the project scope. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks (e.g., technical, environmental, regulatory) and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure the project adheres to industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols throughout construction and testing phases. What we require from you Essential: Very good German Language skills (B2 or Higher) Previous Project Management experience working on substations Good understanding of substations and relevant standards within the electrical energy industry Experience with high voltage or medium voltage projects Ability to plan, schedule, and manage complex projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
