As a global TIER 1 supplier for the automotive industry, DENSO develops, produces and sells powertrain components and systems as well as innovative hardware, software and fuel solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles. DENSO’s two main pillars, “Peace of Mind” and “Green”, are the foundation of new R&D themes. One of those is “Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer” (DWPT). An emerging technology that allows electric vehicles to charge while driving. On top of shortening or even eliminating stops for (quick) charging, DWPT enables longer driving ranges and reduces range anxiety to increase the market acceptance of electric vehicles. Furthermore, DWPT can reduce CO2 emissions because electric vehicles can be equipped with smaller batteries. Therefore, DWPT helps achieving carbon neutrality across the entire mobility lifecycle.
