Position: Senior Project Manager Location: Bonn, Germany Field: Defence Type: Full‑time / 50% Remote Professional Profile Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in managing complex IT and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on communication technologies, system rollouts, and large‑scale deployments in highly regulated environments. Proven track record in leading rollout sub‑projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring timely, cost‑efficient, and high‑quality project delivery. Experienced in managing suppliers, logistics, contracts, and resources while maintaining strict compliance with defined standards and processes. Key Responsibilities End‑to‑end responsibility for the results, timely delivery, and commissioning of contractually agreed IT and communication systems across multiple locations Planning, coordination, and control of rollout sub‑projects for secure video conferencing and communication solutions Central point of contact between all involved parties, including customers, field service teams, suppliers, and operational units Interface between project execution and operational service transition Planning, preparation, and moderation of internal and external workshops Development, optimisation, and coordination of rollout and deployment processes Management and coordination of suppliers, subcontractors, and material logistics Contract and requirement management for external service providers Resource planning and allocation within the assigned sub‑project Responsibility for adherence to project objectives regarding schedule, budget, and quality Support of overall project management activities, including reporting, project planning, and customer communication Cross‑project coordination of dependencies, risks, and change requests Continuous improvement of collaboration and efficiency within the project team (e.g. lessons learned workshops) Ensuring compliance with defined project governance, standards, and internal guidelines Professional Experience More than 6 years of experience in managing complex IT projects, including at least 1 year in leading large‑scale rollout projects of IT systems At least 4 years of professional experience in IT projects with a focus on: IT infrastructure Communication technologies Migration of IT systems Comparable large‑scale technical environments Extensive experience in coordinating multi‑stakeholder project environments and managing external partners Education & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related technical fieldor Completed commercial or IT‑related vocational training combined with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience Certifications & Methodologies Certification in recognised project management standards (e.g. IPMA Level D or equivalent) Strong knowledge of classical project management methodologies Tools & Technical Skills Project management tools (e.g. MS Project or comparable tools) Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Experience with documentation, reporting, and project planning tools Language Skills German: C1 level (CEFR) English: B1 level (CEFR) Soft Skills Strong team‑working and collaboration skills High level of assertiveness and ability to act consistently Excellent ability to structure complex topics and communicate them clearly to different target audiences Independent working style with strong problem‑solving competence High sense of responsibility and reliability Additional Information Willingness to travel up to 30% within Germany Hybrid working model with up to 50% remote work (by agreement) Willingness to undergo security screening if required What we offer Join a cosmopolitan and internationally mixed team: We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and cultures to contribute their unique perspectives and talents to our team.
