Purpose
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for owning the vision and roadmap of their Product, creating business and customer outcomes for Henry Schein One that achieve and maintain market dominance in APAC and UK dental markets. Henry Schein One is currently a market leader in the UK with the client-server based Practice Management System (PMS) ‘EXACT’, and has substantial market share in APAC with client-server based EXACT and Oasis products. However, market trends are highlighting the need for a cloud-based offering. The ‘Senior Product Manager’ is responsible for further developing HSO Cloud Products, primarily ‘Dentally’, to compliment the established client-server based products in achieving and sustaining market dominance while creating real impact and outcomes for our customers and business.
Our software suite and newest Cloud offering exist to improve the oral health outcomes of the communities we serve, whilst transforming good practices into great businesses.
Responsibilities
Specifically, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Henry Schein One’ business objectives, customers, product portfolio, and competition - by conducting or participating in relevant user research, competitive analysis, and other design thinking activities.
* Owning the strategic direction of the payments and claims product – creating a roadmap that delivers real impact and outcomes to customers and the business.
* Building a close and collaborative relationship with your teams including team leader, designers, software developers, and QA to define and achieve product objectives, creative approaches and deliverables.
* Tightening product feedback loops including MVP, releasing early, releasing often, gathering customer feedback, product feature usage analysis to speed up learning
* Working with the Head of Product and other Product Owners/Managers to research concepts/ideas to decide on value & scope
* Conducting customer interviews, doing customer research to iterate and gain feedback, and ensuring we deliver impactful features
* Maintaining an effective and well-groomed backlog for Scrum Teams
* Writing high quality user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
* Learning and analysing user patterns and adapting the product to suit
* Saying ‘no’
* Demonstrating a hunger for learning and continuous improvement
Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience working with payments in a Saas environment
* Demonstrate experience in Product development. Including strategic, creative, and user centered design solutions to complex software problems
* Ability to conduct (or participate in) a wide range of product design skill-sets such as: user research, brainstorming, concept design, detailed design, rapid prototyping, and usability testing.
* Creativity and Innovation: seeks new and better ways of doing things, generates original and imaginative ideas, products, or solutions
* Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems
* Working with stakeholders to build and deliver on product roadmap
* Developing mock-ups and great user experiences
* A keen interest in AI tools to enhance and accelerate Product Development
* A coaching mindset – as a Senior member of the Product team you will be eager and willing to share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues
* Knowledge and experience with Scrum favoured but not essential
* A history of people leadership is an advantage though not a requirement
