Your new job includes
As a Senior Buyer Ready to Wear (m/f/d), you will ensure long-term, partnership-based relationships with the suppliers and brands you are responsible for, thereby ensuring market-driven product ranges and optimal conditions in order to inspire our customers.
In particular, you will
* define, manage and take responsibility of the strategic direction of the industry leading global brands in the luxury and premium fashion sector
* define and execute the buying and assortment strategies for the respective brands to optimize key KPIs and drive profitable growth within the global travel retail market, including airports, cruiseliners and bordershops
* independently negotiate terms & conditions and distribution rights for the respective brands to constantly optimize revenue, profitability and logistic efficiency with a mid/long-term view point and a strong partnership orientation
* work with data to analyze sales to evaluate the performance and constantly improve key KPIs including turnover, gross margin and sell-through per location
* work closely and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a highly dynamic international setting, including sales, category management, logistics, marketing, finance, as well as supplier brands, joint venture partners and international subsidiaries
* take leadership in key strategic projects including new boutique projects
* maintain and expand the international network through regular visits to supplier brands and market visits
Preferred Profile
* A successfully completed degree in economics or business, and several years of professional experience in fashion buying, product management or category management within international fashion or luxury retailers
* Comprehensive knowledge of the fashion or luxury industry
* Professional efficiency in MS Office and ideally SAP. Advanced excel skill is required
* Business fluent in German and English. Other languages are a plus
* Successful experience and assertiveness in negotiations within an international environment Experience and knowledge in merchandise planning and budgeting is a plus
* Can-do attitude and goal-oriented approach to stay calm and focused even during times of high workload
* Openness to learn, adaptability, respect to colleagues/partners and transparent way of working together – especially important in our globally operating family business
