Nokia’s Hardware Development Organization is seeking a Hardware Project Manager to lead the execution and evolution of next‑generation hardware products, leveraging Nokia’s in‑house Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologies. Responsibilities Own and execute integrated project plans across requirements, design, verification, and validation phases Partner closely with Technical Leaders and cross‑functional leads to drive execution scalability and ensure clear ownership and accountability for deliverables Establish and maintain rigorous project tracking, milestone reporting, and action follow‑up Continuously identify, assess, and manage technical and program risks, working with both internal and external stakeholders Track and report weekly progress against development milestones, highlighting risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans Proactively identify issues, forecast impacts, and define corrective actions Foster an open, collaborative, and results‑driven working environment across global cross‑functional teams Monitor project performance against short‑ and long‑term objectives using appropriate project management tools Ensure project deliverables meet agreed constraints, including Time‑to‑Market (TTM) and budget targets Provide regular, concise project status updates to senior management Lead post‑mortem and lessons‑learned reviews to drive continuous improvement Qualifications Proven ability to deliver complex hardware development programs on time and within scope Strong program and project management discipline with excellent execution skills Demonstrated success building effective relationships across engineering, operations, and business stakeholders Solid leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities Agile mindset with the ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment Self‑driven, innovative, analytical, and detail‑oriented Highly organized, with strong prioritization and time‑management skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex technical topics for diverse audiences Experience working across global, multicultural teams and bridging cultural differences Familiarity with product development lifecycle tools, defect tracking systems, test case management tools, Agile frameworks, and project planning tools Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Excel Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar); Master’s degree is a plus 5–10 years of experience in hardware project or product management Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
