Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-performing Sales Director to lead our sales function with a strong focus on new logo sales strategy, people leadership, business development, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter who thrives on building relationships, drives process discipline, and partners closely with marketing to deliver customer-centric growth. You will own the sales strategy, lead a team of account executives and managers, and be responsible for end-to-end revenue performance and our marketing strategy.
You will serve as a core member of the leadership team and participate in strategic decisions across the overall company strategy, the sales and marketing teams related to back-to-base sales and organic growth.
Collaboration with leadership as well as active participation with leading industry will be crucial. This position will be required to provide insights and intelligence to the product team, so they are equipped to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and keep Across relevant in the Language industry. The role requires a highly determined, self-motivated individual who fosters cross-organizational relationships and builds trusted customer connections.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed targets.
2. Business Development: Actively prospect new business opportunities and open doors in target markets.
3. Strategy Development: Build and execute scalable sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
4. Process Improvement: Implement and refine sales processes, ensuring funnel hygiene and CRM discipline. Integrate AI-tools to our existing Sales and Marketing strategy.
5. Customer Centricity: Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs and drive solutions that deliver value.
6. Relationship Management: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
7. Marketing Strategy: Oversee and align marketing initiatives with sales objectives; ensure lead generation efforts support pipeline goals.
8. Reporting & Analysis: Monitor KPIs, pipeline health, and conversion metrics to drive continuous improvement and forecast accurately.
Preferred Skills & Experience
9. 8–10+ years experience in software sales with both Back-2-Base and New Logo
10. 3 years experience as a sales leader, managing a team of at least 3 people
11. MBA or related advanced degree
12. Proven track record as a hunter and closer in complex sales environments.
13. Ensure prospects, opportunities and field activities are captured and reported through the Customer Relationship system (CRM) software. (Netsuite experience/knowledge beneficial)..
14. Strategic thinker with experience building go-to-market plans and sales playbooks.
15. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
16. Customer-obsessed with a passion for delivering outstanding service and solutions.
17. Experience managing or working closely with marketing teams to align messaging, lead generation, and campaigns.
18. Fluent in German and English.
19. Apply strong analytical skills to assess data for informed decision-making, including crafting sales plans and strategic objectives, emphasizing a data-driven approach within a sales organization.
20. This role will be hybrid with travel for customer visits and trade shows, conferences, customer and partner events. (Travel expectation of 30% - 50%)
