A Day in the Life

This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand cross-functional collaboration. This role will require 25-30% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

The Ligasure Portfolio Senior Product Manager, US Marketing is responsible for the sales growth and revenue objectives for the assigned area of responsibility, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, as well as identifying and executing product marketing initiatives to drive future growth for the Ligasure products within Advanced Surgical Technologies Product Marketing, part of the Surgical Portfolio.

A Day in the Life

Develops promotional strategies, sales support materials, educational aids, new channels, etc., to grow market share and ensure sales excellence.

Identifies, rationalizes, and executes on business opportunities through new and improved products and applications, educational programs, and customer services by focusing on key opinion leaders, customers, the sales force, and distributor channels.

Collaborates with internal and external functions to market assigned products; provides marketing support, develops strategic direction, forecasts, communicates product and competitive updates, plans conferences, launches new products/programs, creates collateral, navigates approval processes, and optimizes the channel.

Evaluates opportunities by gathering customer feedback, monitoring procedural trends, evaluating competitive landscapes, reviewing complaints, monitoring complications, and evaluating reimbursement in key procedural areas.

Supports product launch activities across the Hardware and Ultrasonic product lines, including content creation, sales education, commercialization planning, field communication, sales initiatives, presenting, and forecasting.

Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with internal and external customers, including the US salesforce and distributor teams, customer service, global marketing, marketing operations, logistics, clinical affairs, legal, offer development and pricing, R&D, regulatory, quality, and surgeons, nurses, and hospital administration.

Travel approximately 25% (primarily domestic).

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in marketing, market development or sales, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years

Nice to Have

Degree in Marketing, Business, R&D

MBA

Medical Device experience

Highly effective written and verbal communication skills

Prioritization and organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Veeva, and Workfront

Strong understanding of medical marketing and hospital buying processes; experience in product and/or procedural marketing within medical device industry highly preferred

Proven skill in creating, writing, and analyzing business/marketing plans, objectives, and strategies

Ability to prepare and deliver product presentations and train employees and customers in applications and use of products

Strong analytical skills to review sales reports, analyze financial metrics, project sales forecasts, and quantify market segmentation models

Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders

Proven ability to work effectively as a team member with cross-functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Legal

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & Compensation
Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. We recognize contributions and offer a range of benefits, resources, and compensation plans designed to support you at every career and life stage. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excl. PR): $133,600.00 - $200,400.00. This position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range applies across the United States, with variations by experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Benefits below apply to regular employees working 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition reimbursement, and Simple Steps well-being program.
