The position can be based at our offices in Darmstadt, Giessen, Kassel, or Fulda. This is a full-time position, which can in principle be split.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You lead your team in an appreciative manner and on an equal footing
You bear overall responsibility for our production division
You actively develop the strategic orientation of our data center
You will plan, manage, and implement challenging technical projects.
You will develop and implement a sustainable strategy for your organizational unit.
You will develop new, innovative service offerings.
You will create well-founded concepts for economic and technical issues.
You prepare the content of tenders and play a key role in designing them.
You work on complex, company-wide tasks and take on special assignments from senior management.
You will coordinate and be responsible for your department's input for ISO 27001 certification in accordance with BSI basic protection and ISO 9001:2015 quality management.
The level of remuneration is based on a salary of up to EG 14 TVöD (VKA) and will be determined subject to a final individual assessment and personal qualifications.

What you bring to the table
A degree in computer science or at least three years of training in the IT field.
Relevant professional experience with leadership experience.
Experience in networking (switching, routing, proxy firewall, LDAP) and connecting external locations (WAN, VPN, MPLS, VoIP).
Knowledge of server and storage environments (cloud, server and storage virtualization, backup)
Experience in project planning and management
Expertise in various IT platforms and IT operating systems
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Confident manner, negotiating skills, and a high sense of responsibility
Resilience, commitment, and decisiveness
The ability to identify problems, develop practical solutions, and implement them consistently
Very good written and spoken German and English
Class B driver's license
