Context: Office relocation - network deployment + user subnet & firewall rule migration
About the Role
This role supports a full office relocation, including:
* building and commissioning a new Arista Type‑1 network (~1,500 ports), and
* the assessment, migration, testing and decommissioning of user subnets and security connectivity rules (ACRs).
The position combines technical project management and security connectivity engineering, ensuring a controlled, well‑documented and risk‑minimised transition.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Project Management (Network Deployment)
* Validate requirements, design baseline, constraints and dependencies.
* Check network capacity (switch ports, IP addressing, circuit/cross‑connect utilisation).
* Coordinate IP assignment (MIRA / NCP) and distribute IP/subnet data.
* Update documentation (NetApp(s), Site Builder, CTM, Virtual Container, NCE outputs, Excel sheets).
* Organise configuration reviews and track findings & approvals.
* Coordinate staging readiness, cabinet elevation planning and patching schedule.
* Prepare CHG packs; support implementation (configuration execution, ZTP/CVP, cutover tests).
* Ensure step, rollback and test plans are agreed and followed.
* Coordinate the 4‑eyes implementation plan and approval evidence.
* Finalise closure: handover, documentation and lessons learned.
Security Connectivity Engineering (ACR / Firewall / Subnets)
* Build the user subnet inventory using Netbase (source of truth).
* Run Eagle Eye reports (src/dst, last‑used timestamps, ports/applications).
* Present results to ITAOs and support iterative analysis.
* Maintain the Rules to Remain register (retain/review/retire + rationale).
* Support onboarding of new user subnets and creation of new ACRs.
* Support testing of new ACRs (connectivity validation, rule hits, troubleshooting).
* Support decommissioning of old ACRs with evidence traceable to the analysis register.
* Maintain an activity log (reports, workshops, ACR support).
Skills & Experience
* Experience in technical project management in network or infrastructure environments.
* Understanding of firewall rules, ACRs, connectivity flows and change governance.
* Ability to interpret technical reports and maintain structured documentation.
* Comfortable coordinating technical teams and business stakeholders.
* English and German mandatory.
