Summary:
A Rogers Corporation Buyer is responsible for sourcing, procurement, negotiating and on time delivery of expense, supply, MRO, production, service items and some raw materials.
Essential Functions:
* Planning and ordering of raw materials, monitoring of delivery dates and coordination with the relevant departments
* Preparation and implementation of tenders, negotiations and supplier meetings
* Creating and sending orders, checking order confirmations and delivery dates
* Preparation and implementation of new cost saving strategies
* Supplier search, establishment & maintenance of partnerships with Hungarian/Eastern European suppliers
* Intensification of second source qualification for suppliers in the area of production, MRO, etc.
* Communication with suppliers
* Supporting the Purchasing Manager in audits (customer & supplier audits (VDA), ISO/IATF, SOX, etc.)

* Bachelor’s Degree or comparable apprenticeship program
* Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
* Experience working with SAP
* Affinity for numbers, dates, facts
* Structured way of working
* Fluency in German and English
* Negotiation skills
* Hands-on mentality
* Enjoy working in an international environment
