How You’ll Make an Impact Definition and deployment of self-driven lab architectures for streamlined materials developmentIntegration of AI-based material design with automated synthesis and testing for enhanced efficiencyDesign of robotic and parallel experimentation workflows for rapid material innovationEstablishment of closed-loop optimization between machine learning models and lab execution for continuous improvementManagement of large volumes of experimental and sensor data ensuring FAIRness and traceabilityContinuous improvement of machine learning models through experimental feedback and bridging of digital predictions with physical validation and scale-up to ensure real-world impactWhat You BringCompleted PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related disciplineExtensive hands-on experience in R&D or engineering environmentsDeep expertise in materials synthesis, characterization, and advanced testing techniquesDemonstrated experience with automation, robotics, and high-throughput experimentationStrong foundation in AI/ML and data-driven approaches to optimization and process improvementExtensive experience in closed-loop or self-driven lab environments, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills across technical and business domains
