Essential Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with internal teams to influence process quality.
2. Determine appropriate actions for process improvements.
3. Recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Monitor and manage account health and performance.
5. Provide analytical insights to support business decisions.

Expected Qualifications:

6. 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Your day-to-day:

7. Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with PayPal’s vision to deliver long-term value for merchants and PayPal.

8. Drive revenue retention, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

9. Negotiate complex commercial terms and contracts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

10. Monitor account health, proactively addressing risks to ensure merchant success and satisfaction.

11. Advocate for merchant needs within PayPal, driving innovative, market-aligned solutions.

12. Oversee onboarding, integration, and day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.

13. Build and maintain executive-level relationships to foster long-term strategic partnerships.

14. Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver on account objectives and operational excellence.

15. Manage pipelines, forecasts, and reporting with accuracy through CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

16. Leverage competitive insights to refine strategies and support PayPal’s broader business growth.

What you need to bring

17. Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).

18. Proven experience in account management, client success, or sales within payments, technology, or financial services.

19. Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, e-commerce, and fintech products.

20. Demonstrated success in growing and retaining enterprise accounts through strategic planning and solution selling.

21. Skilled negotiator and communicator with experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.

22. Strategic and analytical thinker with a track record of delivering measurable business results.

23. Collaborative team player, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

24. Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
