The Technical Product Owner acts as the bridge between clinical user needs and AI-driven product development. This role is responsible for translating strategic product roadmaps into actionable tasks, managing sprints, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. With a strong technical understanding of AI-based applications, the position guides architecture discussions, collaborates with regulatory teams for compliance, and supports the continuous growth and mentorship of the development team. Activities Shape the product direction: Align with product management on the strategic product roadmap. Drive execution: Break down the roadmap into actionable milestones, sprints and clear, well-specified and prioritised tickets, and take full ownership for their delivery. Own sprint planning: Drive timely delivery of product milestones through effective sprint planning and backlog management. Be the technical anchor: Maintain a deep technical understanding of our AI solutions to guide architectural discussions in the dev team and to contribute hands-on technical work when needed. Act as tech liaison: Serve as the central contact point across development teams and stakeholders for all technical questions about the product. Ensure compliance: Collaborate with the regulatory team and QA to ensure compliance with medical device standards, including working on the technical documentation. Support team growth: Mentor and guide team members in their technical and professional development. Requirements 3 years of experience in the field of machine learning (in industry or academia); less experience is also welcome for junior-level candidates — ideally with exposure to medical imaging. University degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Interest or experience in product ownership, team leadership, and mentoring others. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and their practical application. Familiar with version control, unit testing, and continuous integration; committed to clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
