The role is about managing strategic global travel agencies (TMC) and other travel suppliers (e.g tour operators, aggregators) by applying our smart payment solution approach. You will be a commercial executive and sales consultant for all kinds of suppliers in our travel ecosystem and responsible for maintaining our partnership as well as expanding the business. because our international flair, experienced leadership, and commitment to adaptability let us go the extra mile for our customers and each other.
Your tasks
* Maximize the portfolio, e.g. maintain and expand commercial relationships with existing global customers and esp. TMC using our payment solution (up- and cross-sell)
* Create additional strategic ideas to explore new volume potentials and into further business fields/verticals
* Explore, recommend, and promote customers' technical developments to trigger new volume opportunities and secure retention
* Calculation and re-negotiation of commercial conditions
* Upsell to new global travel trade customers (OTA/retailers/brokers/tour operators, etc social selling activities, leads, and utilizing existing partner networks, e.g. TMC
* Actively initiating and conducting initial meetings that include our solution benefits and the commercial framework of the AirPlus payment solution
* Be and feel responsible for solving ad-hoc and ongoing commercial and operational issues
* Independent pipeline management and the associated documentation and reporting of customer activities
* Customer-specific strategy planning creation and execution of business calculations under defined own competencies
* Represent the company at industry events
Your qualification
* Based in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, or Denmark but acting internationally (with customers across Central Europe)
* 5-8 years of experience in sales-related activities and regular contact with customer issues/requirements, ideally in the travel sector
* Commercial profile with an entrepreneurial drive to success in a result-driven environment
* Ability and skills to present, intrinsically sales-driven with the ambition to win people for your own concepts
* Deep know-how on the payment needs of TMC, OTA, and other travel industry suppliers
* Fluent in English (verbal and written), other local languages are a pro
* Strong nerves in challenging and complex customer projects
* Service-oriented basic attitude, confident demeanor, as well as enjoyment in communication with demanding customers
* Strong analytical and negotiating skills, persuasiveness, as well as contact and cooperation skills
