Senior Product Owner SAR Processor (m/w/d)
OHB System AG is a large system integrator in Europe and contractor for space-based radar missions involving synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and development programs for future earth observation and security missions. In this context, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner for our SAR data processors to support the Space Data Systems- and Development Programs team in Salem.
Ihre Aufgaben
1. Act as the responsible point of contact for the internal and external stakeholders of our SAR processors and its corresponding data products
2. Lead and coordinate the development of the next generation SAR processor, its data products from L0 to L2, and its -algorithms in ongoing satellite missions as well as upcoming projects from phase A/B until phase E
3. Guide and support the software development team in the definition, testing, evaluation, and refinement of the SAR processor and its data products
4. Manage and prioritize the software engineering tasks and backlog
5. Monitor and optimize the interface and information exchange with the satellite-, instrument- and ground segment teams and technical departments
6. Ensure the information flow between the software team and other stakeholders, working in an international team of experts from OHB and project partners
7. Lead the control and evaluation of feature changes that impact the scope, budget, or timeline of the project
8. Control technical progress, schedule, cost and quality in close collaboration with the project manager
9. Identify, control and reduce software product- and development risks
10. Prepare and conduct technical reviews and support project milestone reviews
11. Report to the project management in reviews, technical- and project milestones
Ihre Qualifikationen
12. Completed studies in mathematics, physics, electronics, aerospace-engineering or similar qualification
13. Significant experience as a product owner in software development with complex projects, big teams and various stakeholders
14. Strong capabilities to identify with a SAR processor and its output data as a product, good understanding of contributing and interacting disciplines
15. Comprehensive knowledge of image-generating radar technologies using reflector- and/or phased array and its algorithms for data processing from L0 to L2 SAR products
16. Extensive experience in SAR- algorithms development
17. Long experience with space project software development from phase A/B until phase E
18. Familiar to work with process standards such as ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C
19. Very good programming skills in C++, knowledge in IDL and Python are a plus
20. Very good managerial-, technical- and analytical skills
21. Strong competence in self-organizing and work planning
22. High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
23. Very good team working skills and motivation capabilities
24. Willingness to consciously learn and broaden your experience
25. Very good language skills in written and spoken German and English
