To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager – Telecom / Networking (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer needs, ensuring that ideas and requirements are translated into well-defined deliverables and successful releases.
This role is ideal for a technical Product Manager who enjoys bringing structure to complex product environments, shaping requirements, prioritisation, and roadmap decisions while working closely with engineering teams.
This role follows a hybrid working model with regular presence in our Hamburg office.
Tasks
What you'll do as Technical Product Manager – Telecom / Networking (m/f/d)
* Translate customer needs, engineering input, and market signals into clear product requirements and user stories
* Own and maintain the product backlog in Jira, ensuring well-scoped and prioritised tickets
* Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, track delivery progress, and remove blockers
* Drive backlog prioritisation, release planning, and scope decisions, balancing customer needs, engineering constraints, and product goals
* Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to improve product features and workflows
* Collaborate with product leadership, engineering, and pre-sales to align priorities and support roadmap decisions
* Monitor relevant industry developments and technologies
Requirements
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager – Telecom / Networking (m/f/d) who enjoys working in complex technical environments and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
* Experience working as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a technical software environment
* Proven track record of owning backlog, requirements, and prioritisation
* Ability to translate complex input into clear user stories and actionable tickets
* Experience working in complex technical environments with multiple stakeholders
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams
* Hands-on experience with Jira and product documentation tools (e.g. Confluence)
Domain knowledge
Experience in telecommunications environments (e.g., IMS, VoLTE, SIP-based systems) or other complex networking or infrastructure software platforms.
Nice to have
* Familiarity with SIP, Diameter, IMS, or mobile core network technologies
* Experience working across 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G telecom networks, including understanding of core network functions or IMS architectures
* Exposure to Tier-1 operator deployments, roll-outs, or acceptance testing
* Familiarity with Kubernetes-based platforms or public cloud infrastructure
