Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager (P9) leads a cross-functional software development sub-project as Product Owner within a large transformation program. The role is responsible for guiding a Scrum team, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Agile Leadership: Act as Product Owner for a Scrum development team, conducting Scrum ceremonies and managing the product backlog.
* Requirements Management: Gather, clarify, and document Epics and User Stories, including acceptance criteria.
* Project Control: Ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality objectives for assigned sub-projects.
* Stakeholder Management: Coordinate dependencies, risks, and changes across related sub-projects; align Epic and User Story prioritization with other Product Owners.
* Reporting & Planning: Support the stream lead and overall project manager with reporting, progress tracking, and integrated project planning.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency by promoting best practices and ongoing collaboration improvements within the development team.
* Governance: Oversee cost control and prepare project reports for leadership.
* Travel & Presence: Willingness to work on-site up to 60 % of the time, with at least 40 % remote work possible.
Qualifications
* Education:
* Bachelors degree in Business Administration or an IT-related field, or a comparable commercial/IT vocational qualification with equivalent professional experience.
* Languages:
* German: C1 (business fluent)
* English: B1 (advanced)
* Certifications (valid at time of application):
* Project Management: IPMA Level D, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent.
* Agile Methods: Scrum Product Owner II or equivalent.
* Professional Experience (minimum continuous periods):
* 4 years as a project team member in software projects.
* 3 years in project management/lead roles.
* 6 years as a Product Owner.
* Proficiency with project-management tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project; solid MS Office skills.
